The values of EXPARG (the largest working precision argument taht the library exp routine can handle) and XBIG (the largest argument for which gamma(x) is representable in the machine, i.e., the solution to the equation gamma(xbig) = xinf) have been explicitly set to values suitable for IEEE standard arithmetic. These should be changed for other floating point arithmetics.
