The double precision code as provided runs the test example given in the submission and generates the same results as the original submission. It has been heavily edited to remove unassigned variable traps, subroutine argument mismatches and a number of other portability problems.
The Fortran 77 standard checker reports a mismatch in the number of arguments in the definition and call to BBPOWL along with argument mismatches in calls to the routines ZZRDIN and ZZFNS. The correction of the first of these errors is by no means clear and more work is required to bring this submission up to the required standard.
The single precision code fails on the example program attempting to write record zero on unit 2. This state occurs with the originally submitted code. The single precision source file has had the same edits applied to it as the double precision file.
